Website improvement: first, is it worth it?

I’ll show what’s worth fixing on your website — and what’s not worth the money anymore.

Not every improvement makes sense. Sometimes a website just needs to be put in order, and sometimes a series of fixes costs more than a proper rebuild.

Four outcomes after the check-up

What the check-up showsWhat we do
The foundation is healthy, the problems are specificFix them: a project with a fixed scope, not hourly work
The tech is fine, but design, copy and logic don’t sellRework what visitors see — a redesign
Messy code, dozens of plugins, no staging copyRebuild: fixing costs more than starting over
Nothing criticalDo nothing — and I’ll tell you so

How the work goes

  • A backup — before any change.
  • A staging copy — every change goes there first, not to the live site.
  • Changes within the agreed scope.
  • Testing — features and layout on phone and desktop.
  • Release — only after testing.

Which platforms I work on

I improve websites built on Tilda, Webflow and code — Next.js, Astro, React. I don’t take WordPress projects. If your site runs on WordPress and needs serious changes, I’ll suggest moving it to Tilda or building a new one: it’s usually faster and cheaper than untangling plugins and someone else’s code.

What I don’t take on

  • Ongoing small edits: “change this text”, “add a button”, “fix a plugin”.
  • Hourly support and random tasks with no common goal.
  • A list of forty tasks to “estimate each” — check-up first, scope second.
FAQ

Website improvement FAQ

I quote after the check-up: the price depends on the state of the site and the scope. I estimate the whole scope and fix the price — no hourly billing.

No. I work on Tilda, Webflow and coded sites. If your site runs on WordPress, I can move it to Tilda or build a new one.

I’ll say so right after the check-up. A series of fixes sometimes costs more than a proper rebuild, and then I’ll suggest a redesign or a new website.
